I am currently Agent I of the High Mountain Dogs, a group I have had a few queries about. Here is a brief explanation of the group.
The Die Hohen Berghunde, or High Mountain Dogs are a collection of international motorcycle adventurers. We are not a Club nor have a Charter. Our goal is to be part of the International Motorcycle Association. The goal is not to come under a specific brand because yes some of us ride BMWs there are three of us who are sponsored by Honda.
Die Hohen Berghunde refers to a group of motorcycle couriers that served as foreign volunteers during the Spanish Civil War as part of the International Brigade. They were on the side of the Republic fighting against Franco. The only history of the original group is ironically in a personal journal in a family estate in Spain. They were just a few motorcycle couriers sharing a war experience staying in touch during the next war. Then being involved in motorcycle ventures from racing to manufacturing to just stopping to help a stranded motorcyclist. Nothing more until recent history. The Die Hohen Berghunde were the ones that stayed in Germany to Switzerland after the World War 2. It is an undocumented romantic story that can't be verified. There was a 1970 Swiss racing team in Europe that claimed to be part of them.
But today it is a group of credible people doing incredible things. The goal is to have a selection of world wide Agents to a maximum of 26. We currently have people in the US, Central and South America, Australia, Japan, France, Ireland, Sweden and Turkey.
